West Mitchell Street C.M.E. Church Ministries
The Ministries of West Mitchell Street Christian Methodist Episcopal Church are designed to attract, support, and encourage participation by all members in the programs of the Church
and to always “bear witness” to the saving Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Christian Education The West Mitchell Board of Christian Education promotes “from the cradle to the grave, nurture, growing and development for all age groups including Church Sunday School, Christian Youth Fellowship, Young Adult Fellowship, Educational Ministry, Vacation Bible School and Children’s Ministry.
Benevolence We live Christ’s words through our Benevolence Ministries, Meals on Wheels, the visitation to sick and shut-in members the food bank and the task force for the homeless.
Social Concerns We don’t believe in hiding our light under a bushel. We spread the light of Christian love throughout the community through our Social Concerns Ministries with everyday caring and sharing. Participating in Voter Registration, the Tutorial Program for Children and Youth, Black History and Cultural Seminars, Habitat for Humanity and Christian Council of Metropolitan Atlanta are some of the ways we serve in the community.
Operations West Mitchell C.M.E’s Operations Ministries including our Support Staff, Food Services and Bereavement. Provide the support for the Church’s members, friends, and supporters to celebrate the love of Christ Jesus, Our Lord.
Lay Through our Lay Ministries, the we at West Mitchell C.M.E. joyously sow the seeds of fellowship, sisterhood, and brotherhood so that we may reap the fruits of Christian love: Lay Council, Singles Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Music Ministry, Men’s Ministry.
Evangelism. The aim of evangelism is to bring all persons into living active fellowship with God through Jesus Christ. It brings together new members and visitors, college students, family fellowship activities and the street ministries, neighborhood canvassing and audio visual and tape ministry.
